Meinong is a traditional Hakka farming village and the integrity of Hakka culture preserved is known to be the best in Taiwan. Over 90% of the population in the township is Hakka. The unique Hakka flair can be seen from the clothing, food, housing, and music. The wisdoms of Hakka pioneers were formed in the process of adapting to the environment, which are now fully manifested in the Hakka culture. The museum features stories of Meining. We aim to create a museum filled with active creativities and energy that bring new life to the rich ethnic and cultural resources in the modern days.
